Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor and contractor activity in accordance with access control procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unauthorized access attempts, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
  • Support screening and access management processes for restricted areas, deliveries, and/or scheduled appointments while following post orders and client-directed policies.
