As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to security-related concerns, and support facility operations with professionalism. Requirements

  • This is a hospital vaccines site.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Guard Card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and/or visitors at a government healthcare location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific post orders, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes, with working conditions varying by assignment.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to de-escalate conflict and/or direct individuals to appropriate resources.
  • Control access by observing entry and exit activity, checking identification and/or authorization as required, and assisting with visitor processing per site policy.
  • Complete detailed activity and incident reports, document unusual events, and communicate pertinent information to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
