Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and/or mall location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. Requirements
- Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Having customer service experience is preferred.
- Having loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail or mall location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, and/or alarms, and coordinate with site contacts and public responders as needed.
- Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with line management and/or crowd movement during peak shopping periods, and provide directions and service support to visitors.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate timely updates to supervision and site management.
