As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech workplace, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and access concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with onsite teams and visitors while delivering a strong customer service experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, common spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management and/or badge verification in accordance with site procedures, documenting irregularities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating promptly with site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
  • Complete timely reports of patrol findings, incidents, and service requests, and communicate status updates during shift transitions to support continuity of security-related operations.
