Job Description As a Security Officer - Utilities Access Driver in Monroe, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an access control post in a utilities location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Assist in controlling access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors as per site-specific policies.
- Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards.
- Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
- Support emergency response activities as needed, following instructions from site management and Allied Universal protocols.
