Job Description As a Security Officer - Plant Visitor Desk in Shippingport, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy manufacturing location, you will welcome employees and visitors, help manage access, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain accurate logs. You will monitor cameras and alarms, answer calls, communicate clearly with site teams, and help de-escalate concerns with professionalism. Guided by Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity, you will deliver people-first, customer-focused support for daily security-related operations.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at the front desk by following site-specific procedures and access requirements at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor and delivery logs, and directing individuals to approved destinations.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from a stationary post, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity through the chain of command.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and assisting with emergency response activities as directed.
- Complete detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns, and communicate updates during shift turnovers.
