About The Position

As a Security Officer - Plant Rover Patrol in Prince George, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, document observations, and communicate clearly with employees, visitors, and management. Requirements

  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or unsafe conditions.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing deliveries and drivers according to location procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating notifications and documenting actions taken per post orders.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant observations to the site supervisor and/or client representatives.
