Security Officer - Plant Patrol

Job Description As a Security Officer - Plant Roving Patrol in Clyde, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and document observations with clear communication. You will support access control, respond to calls for assistance, and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care for people, and integrity.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders, and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial areas, including interior production spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, noting unusual conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and controlled areas, verifying identification and/or authorization as required, and directing traffic and deliveries according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and documenting actions taken.
- Complete detailed shift activity reports and incident reports, communicate security-related information during post handoff, and report maintenance hazards and/or suspicious activity through the proper channels.
