Security Officer - Plant Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Plant Patrol Driver in New Bern, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the facility to help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both the interior and perimeter areas.
- Observe for any irregularities or potential security-related concerns and report findings according to established protocols.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
- Support the enforcement of company policies and procedures as directed by site leadership.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities and incidents as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
- Remain alert and attentive to surroundings to help to deter potential security-related threats or issues.
- Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and/or contractors as needed while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
