As an Access Control Security Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible, providing exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a secure environment. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license, and offers the opportunity to be part of a team that values integrity, innovation, and putting people first.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations of personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
- Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors while following site-specific policies and procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and along the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
- Observe and report any irregularities, suspicious activities, or security-related hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Support emergency response activities as required, including following evacuation or lockdown procedures when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of access control activities, incidents, and daily operations as directed by Allied Universal and client requirements.
