About The Position

As a Security Officer - Plant Access Control in Peru, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry and exit points, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
Monitor and control access to the facility to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activities, following all access control policies and procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as required by site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify any unusual or suspicious activity.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client policies.
Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Remain alert and observant to changing conditions in the location, reporting any hazards or security-related concerns as needed.
