About The Position

As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Site in Madison, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards specific to chemical and petrochemical locations.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
Document observations, incidents, and/or irregularities as required by site protocols.
Communicate with Allied Universal management and site personnel regarding security-related matters and/or incidents.
Assist with access control procedures for employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with location guidelines.
Remain alert to environmental and operational conditions unique to chemical and petrochemical locations, and respond as directed by site instructions.
