About The Position

As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Patrol Driver in Wheatfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and control entry and exit of personnel and visitors to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions within the chemical or petrochemical environment to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
  • Follow all site-specific procedures and protocols for the chemical or petrochemical location, including those related to hazardous materials and emergency response.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
