About The Position

As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Patrol Driver in Wheatfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is a driving post, requiring you to conduct routine patrols and interact with staff and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain order at the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
Monitor access points and control entry and exit of personnel and visitors to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions within the chemical or petrochemical environment to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
Follow all site-specific procedures and protocols for the chemical or petrochemical location, including those related to hazardous materials and emergency response.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
