About The Position

As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Facility Patrol in Valparaiso, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned chemical and petrochemical locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a secure environment through your visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain clear communication. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and offers the opportunity to be part of a reliable and innovative team that puts people first.

Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Document and report any unusual incidents, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
Support Allied Universal and client personnel by providing information and assistance as needed.
Follow all company and client protocols while maintaining a professional presence at the location.
