As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will welcome employees, contractors, and visitors while managing entry and exit points, verifying credentials such as a TSA issued TWIC, and documenting site activity. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and help identify unusual situations to support security-related operations. Requirements

• Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying credentials, processing visitor registrations, issuing temporary badges, maintaining logs, and coordinating with site contacts for authorization.
• Screen vehicles, deliveries, and contractors as required by post orders, including directing traffic flow, checking documentation, and reporting irregularities to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and supporting emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify maintenance concerns, and complete patrol reports.
