About The Position

As a Security Officer Personnel Screening in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Screen people, packages, bags, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Monitor access points and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or policy violations within the facility.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with attention to loading areas, trailer yards, entrances, and other high-traffic operational spaces.
