About The Position

As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help reduce security-related incidents. You will support visitors and staff with clear communication, incident reporting, and customer-focused service while using teamwork and integrity to represent our caring culture. In this role, you will stay agile and reliable as you respond to day-to-day needs.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor entry points and lobby traffic, verify identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and help to deter unauthorized access through presence and policy enforcement.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Complete routine reports and activity logs, document security-related concerns and/or maintenance issues, and communicate observations to supervision and site management.
