As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and respond to situations with a calm, people-first approach. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or applicable license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns to report.
  • Control access at designated entrances and interior checkpoints by monitoring doors, verifying credentials as directed, and assisting with visitor sign-in and/or directions in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical-related alerts as assigned, and calls for assistance from staff.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and notable observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
