About The Position

As a Security Officer Perimeter Patrol in Fremont, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, production spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify access permissions as directed by site protocols, and help support an orderly environment for personnel, guests, and deliveries.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or policy concerns, and assist with follow-up actions in alignment with post orders and location expectations.
