Job Description As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol in Newell, WV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor key areas, conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, verify badges and/or credentials, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or public responders per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of process areas, storage areas, access roads, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and visitor authorization, issuing passes as directed, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Complete routine reporting such as shift activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
