About The Position

As a Security Officer - Perimeter Gate Driver in Monmouth, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in an access control role at a busy food and beverage location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will stay visible to help reduce unwanted access, support site procedures, and deliver customer service with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, processing visitor sign-in, issuing temporary badges, and directing deliveries and/or contractors to designated areas per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and documenting events per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, reporting unusual conditions and/or hazards to the appropriate parties.
• Complete daily activity reports and access logs, monitor cameras and/or alarms when assigned, and communicate with site personnel to support security-related operations.
