Job Description As a Security Officer - Apartment Patrol in Chesapeake, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, document observations, and respond to situations with professionalism. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the facility, yard areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points for employees, contractors, and visitors, verifying authorization and directing traffic flow in shipping and receiving areas as required by post orders.
• Complete daily reports and incident documentation, noting unusual conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance issues observed during patrols and rounds.
