As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support store teams and shoppers with friendly customer service. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and respond to situations with professionalism and integrity. Requirements

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and request law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances and exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior, potential theft, and/or policy violations, and document events through detailed incident reports and activity logs.
• Monitor cameras and other security-related systems when assigned, communicate with store staff and/or management, and assist with crowd control and customer issues as needed.
