About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Clayton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order and support staff, visitors, and patients.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access or activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or conditions to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response efforts as directed by site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with facility staff and local authorities as needed to address incidents or requests for assistance.
