As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government human services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering a welcoming customer experience. Requirements

  • MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government human services location by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and notifying appropriate contacts as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor entry points and common areas, observe for unusual conditions, and communicate site rules and directions to visitors in a professional manner.
  • Complete timely reports and logs of incidents, patrol activity, and observations, and coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and site representatives as needed.
