As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will observe and report concerns, support access control and visitor direction, and deliver clear, respectful communication with staff and the public. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government human services location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing direction to occupants, coordinating with site personnel, and contacting public agencies when needed.
• Complete detailed written reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
