Security Officer - Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Patrol in Cookeville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with calm professionalism, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the proper chain of command.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity for irregular behavior, and assist with directing individuals according to site protocols.
- Complete patrol and incident reports, document observations, and communicate pertinent information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
