About The Position
As a Security Officer - Patrol with Active Clearance in Melbourne, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication. Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Maintain an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control, badging and/or escort requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entry points, interior checkpoints, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and assisting with visitor management, deliveries, and contractor check-in processes.
- Complete required reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol checks, and communicate security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
