About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Unit in Towanda, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual conditions, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for hazards, equipment concerns, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization as required, and document daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations in a clear and timely manner.
  • Support site emergency protocols by communicating with local personnel, following post orders, and assisting with evacuations, accountability activities, and/or access control changes when needed.
