About The Position
As a Security Officer Patrol Unit in Miami Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and applicable protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and document observations, incidents, and/or policy-related issues in accordance with site guidelines.
- Communicate with site contacts, employees, visitors, and/or public personnel regarding security-related concerns, directions, and response needs as situations arise.
