About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Unit in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and report concerns to site leadership according to post instructions.
Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and/or general support functions that help maintain an orderly environment for customers and staff.
