About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Specialist in Southfield, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and/or tenant concerns with professionalism. You will use strong communication and customer service to support residents, visitors, and property teams. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to property management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions such as unauthorized entry, loitering, and/or maintenance issues, and communicate findings per post orders.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports with clear, accurate details and assist with de-escalation and/or customer assistance requests in accordance with site guidelines.
