Security Officer - Patrol Services
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Patrol Services in Apex, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, watch for unusual activity, and document observations while providing professional customer service and clear communication to employees, visitors, and team members. Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouse space, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures, directing visitors and drivers to the appropriate check-in areas.
- Complete security-related reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant updates during shift changes to support continuity of operations.
