As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support guests and store teams with clear communication and professional service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and collaborate with a team that values integrity. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, common areas, loading and receiving zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points and support loss prevention efforts by observing for suspicious behavior, reporting concerns promptly, and assisting with crowd and/or queue management during peak periods.
• Complete written reports and document security-related activities, including incident reports, patrol logs, and observations from cameras and/or alarm systems per site requirements.
