As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic government aviation location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
  • Customer service experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or travelers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout public areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors in accordance with site protocols and government facility requirements.
  • Assist with traffic and pedestrian flow, provide directions and information, and support security-related operations during high-volume periods, special events, and/or operational disruptions.
