In this access control role, you will perform routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Guard card is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, and document visitor activity in support of security-related protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with attention to restricted areas, entrances, and other access-sensitive points.
  • Communicate with site contacts, employees, and the public regarding entry requirements, directions, and security-related concerns while helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions.
