Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to restricted and public areas by verifying permissions, observing visitor activity, and communicating with site personnel regarding security-related concerns and/or policy questions.
- Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions and assistance, and completing required logs, reports, and other assigned site documentation.
