Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government transit location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or local authorities when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, bus boarding areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, observe passenger interactions, and document security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations in accordance with site requirements.
• Support crowd management and orderly movement during peak travel times, special events, and/or service interruptions while providing courteous assistance and directions to the public.
