About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Rounds in Palmetto, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will greet drivers and visitors, support access control, document activity, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, yards, parking areas, docks, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, checking identification and/or credentials as required, and directing visitors, drivers, and contractors to appropriate areas.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, and communicate observed conditions, hazards, and/or policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
