Security Officer - Patrol Rounds
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Patrol Rounds in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a highly visible presence, and support access control and visitor flow while documenting observations and responding to alarms and/or calls for assistance. You will deliver customer-focused service, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and use technology to complete reports. Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify identification, badges, and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site policies, directing individuals to the appropriate departments or check-in areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
- Complete detailed written reports and activity logs, communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts, and assist with incident follow-up as needed.
