Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Rounds in Peoria, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related issues. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and support a welcoming experience for employees and visitors. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or irregular conditions.
- Control access by verifying identification and/or authorization, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing visitors and deliveries to the proper check-in areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site contacts and/or local emergency services as needed.
- Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and client representatives.
