As a Security Officer Patrol Responder in Rock Tavern, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts according to post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and support entry and exit procedures in alignment with site protocols.
• Assist with incident reporting, policy compliance observations, and general support for day-to-day security-related operations in a dynamic business environment.
