As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring culture that puts people first, bringing an agile, reliable, and innovative approach to every shift.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Be able to use handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from supervisors and/or local emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns.
• Control access at designated entrances by verifying credentials, directing visitors, and maintaining visitor and/or vehicle logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Document observations, patrol activities, and incidents in written reports, and communicate relevant information to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
