As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will conduct routine foot and/or bike patrols, stay highly visible, and help to reduce security-related incidents across buildings and grounds. You will support access control and badge checks, respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being able to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activities and communicating updates to site leadership and/or local response partners as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns.
• Support access control and guest management by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or authorization when required, and directing people to appropriate campus resources.
• Complete routine reporting, including incident reports, shift logs, and observations, and participate in briefings and post orders to support consistent security-related coverage.
