About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Associate in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a smooth daily operation through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing updates with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter zones to help identify security-related concerns and report them promptly.
• Monitor the movement of visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel, helping to confirm authorized access to designated areas while following post orders and client-directed procedures.
• Support loss prevention and operational continuity efforts by observing shipping and receiving areas, reporting damaged barriers or unsecured entry points, and assisting with incident reporting as needed.
