Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Officer in Greensboro, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support students, staff, and visitors with clear communication, helpful directions, and professional customer service while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, assist with directions and general inquiries, and help manage visitor entry in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, suspicious activity, and fire or intrusion alarms, and request additional resources as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
