Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a prominent government cultural location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a public government location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, entrances, administrative spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor access points and visitor movement, assist with directional questions and/or entry procedures, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
Support protection of public property and exhibits by observing for suspicious behavior, addressing concerns through approved procedures, and communicating clearly with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
