Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a prominent government cultural location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a public government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, entrances, administrative spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor movement, assist with directional questions and/or entry procedures, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support protection of public property and exhibits by observing for suspicious behavior, addressing concerns through approved procedures, and communicating clearly with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
