Security Officer Patrol Duty
About The Position
As a Security Officer Patrol Duty in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic retail location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach while using agile and reliable response skills throughout the mall setting.
Requirements
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor visitor, shopper, and/or employee activity while reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
- Support access control and closing procedures, assist with crowd and/or line monitoring during busy periods, and document daily activities, incidents, and/or observations in required reports.
