As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Duty in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support visitors and staff through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify authorized access when required, and support order at the location through visible presence and professional communication.
Prepare clear, accurate reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or policy violations, and assist with following site-specific directives and allied universal standards.
